The welcome sign
The 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign, at the south end of the Strip, is one of the most photographed pieces of roadside signage in the world and draws a consistent queue for a photo in front of it — mornings tend to be quieter than afternoon and evening if you want to avoid a long wait.
Skyline viewpoints at dusk
The short window around sunset, when the sky still holds colour but the Strip's neon has fully switched on, is consistently the best light for skyline shots — worth timing a rooftop bar or observation deck visit around it deliberately rather than by chance.
Casino interiors and lobbies
Several resort lobbies and casino interiors were designed with photography in mind — elaborate ceilings, themed architecture and light installations that are free to walk through and photograph even if you're not a guest.
