A different scene entirely
Away from the Strip's club and bottle-service culture, Las Vegas has an ordinary, unpretentious neighbourhood bar scene that most tourists never see — casual, generally cheaper, and a genuinely different way to spend an evening in the city.
Downtown's dive bar tradition
Downtown and the areas around Fremont Street carry a long-running dive bar tradition, generally more low-key and eclectic than anything on the Strip proper.
Why it's worth a look
If a night of $20 cocktails and a dress code isn't what you're after, an off-Strip or downtown bar night is a legitimate way to see a side of Vegas that has nothing to do with the resort economy.
