A one-way scenic loop road winds through the conservation area with numerous pull-offs and viewpoints, making it accessible even if you only have an hour or two and don't plan to hike.

Trails off the loop range from short, easy overlooks to longer, more demanding canyon hikes — pick based on time and fitness, and treat it as genuine desert hiking: water, sun protection and a realistic sense of the heat matter here just as much as anywhere else in the region.
